On 15 August, 2004, Iran executed a 16-year-old rape victim. Atefah Sahaaleh was hanged in a public square in the Iranian city of Neka.

Her death sentence was imposed for "crimes against chastity".

The Sharia Court accused her of adultery after she was raped But she was not married - and she was just 16.

Since the revolution, Sharia law has been Iran's highest legal authority.
According to the Sharia laws:

  • There is no freedom of religion or freedom of speech.
  • There is no equality between people (the non-Muslim is not equal to the Muslim).
  • There are no equal rights for men and women.
  • There is no democracy or a separation between religion and state politics.

Child marriage, forced marriage, Child brides, polygamy, FGM, Acidattacks, honor killings, beheading and stoning.
Sharia has no place in the civilized world.
