At a presser on Monday, Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib offered a tearful response to not being able to visit her grandmother in the West Bank after initially being stopped by the Israeli government.
President Trump is not buying it, he said in a tweet and again while speaking to a group of reporters on Tuesday.
“Sorry, I don’t buy Rep. Tlaib’s tears,” Trump tweeted the day after the presser.
The president went on to say that the congresswoman’s actions before this instance do not line up with the tearful moment.
“I have watched her violence, craziness and, most importantly, WORDS, for far too long. Now tears?” he tweeted. “She hates Israel and all Jewish people. She is an anti-Semite. She and her 3 friends are the new face of the Democrat Party.”
“Live with it!” Trump added.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, the president addressed Tlaib’s comments again where he questioned why Jewish people would vote for anti-Semitic Democrats.
“Any Jewish people that vote for a Democrat—I think it shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty,” Trump said.

ABC News reports:
At the urging of President Donald Trump, Israel denied entry last week to the two Muslim representatives over their support for a Palestinian-led boycott movement.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement last week that the congresswomen’s itinerary showed “their intent is to hurt Israel” and that he backed a decision by Israel’s interior minister to block their entry.

Tlaib and Omar are outspoken critics of Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians and support the Palestinian-led international movement boycotting Israel.
Tlaib, a Palestinian-American who represents Detroit, blamed Netanyanhu for obliging Trump’s request to ban them. Tlaib was later approved by the Israeli government to travel on a “humanitarian visit” to see her family, but ultimately decided not to go after speaking with her grandmother.
Tlaib’s remarks included a moment where she spoke about her grandmother, holding back tears as she began to get choked up.
“She said I’m her dream manifested, I’m her free bird, so why would I come back and be caged and bow down?” Tlaib tearfully said.
