California Rep. Adam Schiff, the man who is leading the impeachment parade in the House, got taken to school by a new representative.
Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw challenged the claim by Schiff that regular House members are not entitled to see impeachment documents.
“Chairman Adam Schiff says that non-committee members can’t have access to all the hearings and depositions that have been happening with respect to the impeachment inquiry. Is that true?” he said.
“Let’s check the House rules,” he said as he pointed to the 2019 House Rules and Manual for the current Congress.
“Such records shall be the property of the House and each member, meaning we can actually go look at them,” he said reading from the rules.

And he is correct. Looking at the rules it does support what Rep. Crenshaw said.
“Except as provided in subdivision (B), all committee records (including hearings, data, charts, and files) shall be kept separate and distinct from the congressional office records of the member serving as its chair

“Such records shall be the property of the House, and each Member, Delegate, and the Resident Commissioner shall have access thereto,” it said.
He went to the secure room where the hearings are being held and was told that he could not see any of the transcripts related to the hearings.
What’s more is that he said he was told by Republicans that are on the committee that they also were not allowed to see the transcripts.
“What is the process here? Where is the transparency? There’s none and that should frustrate all Americans,” he said.
