Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s 2020 reelection campaign is looking to cash in this week on the recent wave of Democratic support for an impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump by selling t-shirts with the slogan “Impeach the motherf —---.”

The shirts cost $29, come in a variety of styles with a black or white backdrop, and take one to two weeks to ship to their destination.
“You’ve asked for ’em. And now we’ve got ’em: ‘Impeach the MF’ t-shirts!” the ActBlue fundraising page selling the shirts for the Michigan Democrat reads.
“We are at the most critical moment in our movement to impeach Donald Trump,” the message continues. “We need to keep up the momentum and get even louder to make sure Congress acts swiftly and passes articles of impeachment against this lawless president.”

On the first day of her first House term in January, Tlaib sent shockwaves through Washington with the phrase that has come to define her national political image.
“We’re going to go in there, and we’re going to impeach the motherf —---,” the freshman congresswoman said to rapturous applause from a group of supporters just hours after she was sworn into the 116th Congress.
Tlaib dusted off the rallying cry — which has, ironically, become something of a defensive call to arms for Trump supporters as well — at an impeachment rally at the Capitol on Thursday.
Filming the scene on her phone, Tlaib led the crowd in a call and response:
“We are ready to impeach the...” Tlaib said, before trailing off and encouraging the crowd to complete the phrase.
“Motherf —---!” they responded.
Democrats have amplified their calls to impeach Trump over the last week as information about the circumstances surrounding a July phone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart continues to emerge.
A whistleblower complaint at the center of the scandal alleges that Trump sought a “promise” from Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to investigate 2020 Democratic front-runner Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, for what Trump still claims was misconduct. In exchange, the complaint alleges, the White House would authorize a military aid package to help Ukraine stave off Russian-backed separatists.
“This is dangerous. He is a dangerous person to our country, and it’s about time that my colleagues realize it, and they are [realizing it],” Tlaib said of Trump at the rally on Thursday.

“For me and for all of us, whatever gets us to 218, we gotta do it and send it to the United States Senate. Allow the ball to be in their court, allow them to defend this criminal behavior,” she said, referring to the number of House members needed to reach a majority on any given vote.
The congresswoman was joined at the rally by Democratic Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Pramila Jayapal of Washington, Jesús “Chuy” García of Illinois and others.
Tlaib raised nearly $620,000 in the first two quarters of the 2020 cycle, according to her financial summary on the Federal Elections Commission database.
She ended the second quarter with more than half a million dollars in cash on hand for her 2020 reelection campaign in Michigan’s 13th District.
Tlaib does not have any Democratic primary opponents so far, though some elections experts have speculated that former Rep. Brenda Jones, whom she defeated in the 2018 primary, could challenge her again in 2020.
